Mama Sadie welcomed seven gorgeous babies on Sunday October 11, 2026.
This is her first litter. She is one of our previous Mama Chloe (retired in 2025) pups and is proving to be just as attentive to her litter. We could not be more excited for this second generation here at Mills River Doodles. Her waitlist is fairly full. We may* have one pup left after puppy picks, but this litter with it's combination of Bernese Mountain Dog, Poodle, Australian Shepherd and loose waves is in high demand. Not to mention, go home times right before Christmas! We do have another litter planned with go homes in January with Roxy and Toby (F1 Aussiedoodles) Feel free to reach out if you would like to be considered for picks with those! Our Puppy Pick Process
We maintain a "master waitlist" for our litters. At the time of birth we contact our deposit holders in order of when the deposit was placed and ask them if they would like a chance to pick from the latest arrivals. We give the families approximately 3-5 days to respond.
We do schedule two "Puppy Play Dates" around the age of 5-6 weeks for those local families that would like to meet the puppies. (No worries if you are not local we love to send videos and Facetime!) This option is available only for our waitlist families that have a deposit with us.
At 7 weeks our puppies will go to our vet. After their first round of vaccines and a health check we will begin finding the perfect home for each puppy and family! We start in order of deposit and work with each family (up to 24 hours) on finding the right fit. The families do have the option of waiting until a later litter if the timing is not convenient for a new pup or if they do not find one in the litter that they feel meets what they are looking for. After we get through the waitlist we will contact our subscribers first with any availability and then update our website for first come, first serve basis. We love watching them grow!!
Not every family keeps in contact with us but we are always available for puppy/dog related requests and issues. We love to get updates an pictures. It is precious to see how well our dogs are loved.
